The Legal Stuff — Terms and Conditions

Chris Wilson, me that is, takes a lot of care, with evident attention to detail in every job undertaken.

You will not just be palmed-off with those samey off-the-shelf "your logo here" website templates that seem to be in abundance. You will not be charged £50 should just a line or two of text be changed or an image be added to your site — such work is charged in reasonable quarter-hourly increments.

Also, as part of the policy of fairness and courtesy, Chris Wilson and willyswideweb.com do not advocate any of the widespread so-called "funding" that encourages certain compulsory "registered designers" to inflate their prices for unsuspecting clients. (I could tell you some horror stories!) This unacceptable but common practice is not tolerated here.

Payment Terms

The fee for the work required is usually agreed upon before work commences.

For website design an initial half payment of the fee is requested, the balance to be paid on completion.

To help promote courtesy and goodwill, please make payments within 10 days of the Invoice date.

Payments not settled within a reasonable 30 days of Invoice date may legally incur interest charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act of 1998.

Copyright

Please note: Any work carried out by Chris Wilson and willyswideweb.com (other than use of images or other elements for which the copyright is held by a third party) remains the copyright of Chris Wilson and willyswideweb.com until payment is settled in full.

Additionally, Chris Wilson and willyswideweb.com reserves the right to suspend or remove any website or additional work carried out on that website until payment is made in full.

Intellectual Property

Chris Wilson and willyswideweb.com hold the intellectual property rights for the creation of websites or graphic design undertaken.

Should the Client no longer wish to use the services of Chris Wilson and willyswideweb.com, then another company or individual may not use the creative elements claiming intellectual property or copyright without prior agreement.

And rightly so!
